THE RIVER RUNS
THROUGH
A midcoast Maine farm, café, and gathering place offering shamanic therapy, retreats, and nature-based ceremonies focused on embodiment and transformation.
The River Runs Through
Tucked into mid-coast Maine, in the small, quietly magical town of Monroe, where a lot of ideas, detours, and dreams finally decided to land and grow.
Part working farm, part gathering space, part nourishment & healing— our goal is embodiment: living it, not just naming it. We offer time-limited one-to-one sessions, retreats, and workshops to invite you to go deeper.
The farmhouse store carries the good stuff: coffee, tea, cold drinks, baked goods, local produce, cultivated seeds, magical materials, like drums, rattles, incense, as well as art inspired from near and far—equal parts pit stop and stay-a-while.
A culmination of hard work, a few leaps of faith, and a deep love for land, people, and possibility.
Come by. Stay a bit. See what finds you.

When I returned home from Scotland, the land spoke something to me clearly:
“You are not from this land.”
The truth of it moved through me deeply. Growing up, it was common for everyone’s family to come from somewhere else, yet I had never truly considered my relationship with the land itself — what it remembers, what it carries, or what it might be asking of us.
Since then, I’ve been listening differently.
Here at The River Runs Through in Monroe, the land feels alive with presence, memory, and spirit. Even the large patch of rhubarb growing beside the farmhouse has spoken in its own way — as if these plants are the goddesses of this land, asking simply to be seen for their beauty, honored for their medicine, and remembered as living beings rather than background.
I believe spirit guided me both to Scotland for my ongoing shamanic studies and here to Maine, where this work continues to unfold through relationship with the land, the seasons, and community.
Join us for a welcoming introduction to Core Shamanism and Celtic-inspired practices through journeying, drumming, meditation, ritual, and deep listening. Together we’ll explore what it means to live in relationship with spirit, nature, and ourselves in a more conscious way.
